| Show Bitmaps in Explorer |
By default the explorer program shows icons as their actual picture in
the listview pane of the display. This can be used a a great picture viewer program. It
would be great to display bitmap files in the same manner. Well with a simple change to
the registry you can:
- Backup Your Registry
- Run RegEdit
- Locate the following Reg Key
HKEY_CLASSES_Root/Paint.Picture/DefaultIcon
- Double Click on the (Default) value in the right hand pane
- Change the value to %1
- Accept the changes and close Reg Edit
You will need to restart your machine for this to take effect but when
you enter explorer you Bitmaps should be represented by a small version of the image. |
